Who we help first
ASAP is a foster-based rescue. Every animal we take in lives in a volunteer's home, so how much we can do at any moment depends on open foster space and funding. We prioritize by level of need:
- 1. Animals that are injured, sick, or in immediate danger
- 2. Strays with no safe place to go
- 3. Litters and community cats
- 4. Rehoming help for owned pets
Every request gets a real answer. If we can't take the animal, we route it to a partner rescue or shelter, or send you resources so you can handle it safely.

Choose "I need to rehome my pet"in the form below. Tell us the animal's age, temperament, and your timeline. We will be honest about whether we have foster space, and in the meantime we can share your pet with our network while it stays safe with you.
Not in our area?
We serve Cabell and Wayne Counties in West Virginia and the surrounding Tri-State. Outside that? Submit anyway. We keep a map of rescues, shelters, low cost spay and neuter clinics, and emergency vets across WV, OH, and KY, and we will reply with the ones closest to you.
