ASAP is 100% volunteer. No paid staff, no salaries — just neighbors who decided the animals nobody else would help were worth saving. Here are a few of them.
Connie Gilkerson
The operational heart of ASAP. Connie coordinates intake, vet care, and adoption events — the person every animal ultimately routes through.
Martha Cummings
Co-founded ASAP with Connie and has led its fundraising for over a decade. Martha guards every donated dollar with the same care she gives the animals.
Polly Bartee
Has opened her home as an ASAP foster and helps keep the day-to-day moving — from spay/neuter scheduling to getting supplies where they're needed.
Kim Adkins
A familiar face at ASAP events, including the annual Bingo fundraiser, and a steady hand connecting fosters with the animals who need them.
Cathy Greiner
Has volunteered with ASAP since its early days, lending her time and expertise to help the rescue grow and stay on solid footing.
